Beware of suspicious calls and fraud attempts! Protect your personal and financial data

28 May 2026

Financial fraud attempts have become increasingly common lately. Scammers are using more sophisticated methods to gain access to personal and financial information. Phone calls, SMS messages, emails, or links that appear to come from trusted entities, such as the Police, delivery services, the National Bank of Moldova, and others, are just some of the tactics used to gain people’s trust.

Microinvest encourages you to stay cautious with your data. Do not share codes, financial information, or personal data with unknown people. In the lending industry, fraud can take different forms, such as individuals pretending to represent a financial institution. Under the pretext of verifying a loan application, validating a transfer, or confirming certain information, they may request personal data to gain access to your accounts or money.

How can you protect yourself from fraud during the lending process?

We want our clients to access services safely. In this context, we are sharing a series of simple but important recommendations to help you recognize fraud attempts more easily and avoid situations that may put your personal and financial data at risk.

Here are our recommendations:

  1. Apply for a loan only through the company’s official communication channels: website, mobile application, call center, or the nearest Microinvest office.
  2. Always verify the website address and the phone number from which you are contacted.
  3. Do not share banking details, SMS codes, passwords, or personal documents through chats or suspicious phone calls.
  4. Carefully read the terms and conditions and verify the authenticity of the offers you receive.
  5. Do not accept “help” from unknown people when completing a loan application.
  6. Verify the source before making any transfer or confirming any transaction.
  7. If you have any doubts, end the conversation and contact us directly at 022 801 701.

At Microinvest, the security of your data is our priority. Stay cautious, verify every request, and do not share personal information with unknown people.

Together, we can prevent fraud attempts.
