How did the idea of launching your own business come about, and why did you choose the financial field?
I studied finance and banking, and my first job was in the banking sector, where I worked as a credit auditor. At one point, the idea of starting my own business came as a recommendation: “Why don’t you launch your own company? Why not build a personal brand?”. That’s how, 18 years ago, Doina Consulting was born. Our company provides accounting and tax consultancy services for startups as well as small and medium-sized enterprises, with a strong focus on practical, applicable solutions.
What was your goal when founding the business?
At the beginning, it wasn’t about big numbers or impressive results. First and foremost, I wanted the business to be close to every company owner and administrator. For us to be not just a simple accounting service, but a team offering complete support, covering all the necessary stages for the proper functioning and growth of a business. Looking back, I can say that this very approach led us to where we are today.
You mentioned complete support. Besides accounting, what other services do you provide?
Yes, in addition to processing primary documents and presenting financial reports, we offer economic and financial consulting, audit services, and human resources management. We also provide legal assistance and prepare estimates, offers, and document packages required for public tenders and loans. At the same time, I personally offer financial consulting to business owners, working together with them on decision-making and financial planning. We have a young but well-qualified team, which allows us to deliver all these services in an integrated manner.

Speaking of the team and the company’s activity, how many clients do you currently work with?
We are currently working with over 100 active companies. However, if we take a look at the company’s history, we have collaborated with more than 700 companies in our 18 years of activity. Some of our clients have been with us since the very beginning, and we continue to work together productively to this day. For us, this is a clear indicator of trust and long-term relationships.
You recently published a book dedicated to financial education. Where did this idea come from?
The idea came from two very simple things, but both deeply meaningful to me. On one hand, from my experience working with entrepreneurs, I noticed that even adults often find it difficult to talk about money or to understand financial terminology. On the other hand, it was something personal. Both of my children, around the age of seven, asked for a bank card as a gift. That’s when I realized that interest in money appears much earlier than we think.
That’s how the idea for a financial education book for children was born – “Doinita’s Adventures in the World of Money”. The main character, Doinita, explains basic financial concepts in a simple and accessible way.

Beautiful initiative! Microinvest also participates annually in international financial education campaigns, actively contributing to financial literacy among children and young people. Where can the book “Doinita’s Adventures in the World of Money” be purchased?
Financial education is an important topic for society indeed, and should be addressed from an early age, in simple terms. I’m glad I managed to create a book that is interesting both for children and for parents, especially when they read it together. The book is already available for sale online at doinita.md, as well as in the Carturesti bookstores.
Doina, can you tell us how your collaboration with Microinvest started and how it has evolved over time?
Our first interaction with Microinvest was about 15 years ago. Since then, a lot has evolved, including communication and individual approach. If in the beginning the conditions were more standardized, today the solutions are much more personalized and adapted to the needs of each business. Another major advantage was the transition to online services. For us, this meant greater efficiency, speed, and flexibility, and remote collaboration became much easier.
Looking back at this experience, would you recommend collaborating with Microinvest to other entrepreneurs?
Based on our experience, the collaboration with Microinvest has been solid and consistent over time. It is a client-oriented company that understands the real needs of businesses and provides support when needed. Most of the clients we work with who collaborate with Microinvest come through our recommendations. I can confidently say that Microinvest is a company focused on partnerships. The clients are very satisfied with the strong and long-term relationships they build.
