At Microinvest, we are looking for a Credit Risk Analyst & Financial Modeling Specialist (IFRS 9) with experience in data analysis, risk management, and predictive models, who can directly contribute to decisions with real impact on the company’s portfolio, audit processes, and overall development.This is a hands-on role with direct business relevance — not just theoretical analysis, but practical modeling, calibration, documentation, and recommendations that truly matter.
About the role
- Develop, calibrate, and monitor PD, LGD, and EAD models in accordance with IFRS 9 requirements;
- Integrate macroeconomic scenarios and forward-looking information into ECL models;
- Analyze model performance and portfolio evolution, preparing relevant reports for management, audit, and other stakeholders;
- Collaborate directly with auditors and regulatory authorities in processes related to modeling and reporting;
- Document methodologies used and propose continuous improvements to the modeling framework.
Expectations
- Practical experience with IFRS 9 ECL modeling, including PD, LGD, and EAD;
- Solid understanding of IFRS 9 requirements, relevant EBA guidelines, and industry best practices;
- Knowledge of cohort analysis, recovery data, and the integration of macroeconomic scenarios;
- Familiarity with Python and/or SQL; willingness to quickly deepen your knowledge of these tools is an advantage;
- Strong analytical thinking, methodological rigor, and high attention to detail;
- Ability to work with complex information and translate it into clear and useful business insights;
- Good knowledge of English is considered an advantage, especially for documentation and methodologies.
Involvement
- Have experience in banking, fintech, or microfinance;
- Have been involved in audit, model validation, or regulatory testing processes;
- Have written methodologies, presentations, or guidelines related to IFRS 9 implementation.
